Questions about digital invitations
What is an eKad digital invitation?
An online invitation your guests open from a WhatsApp link, for a wedding, birthday, aqiqah, company event, PIBG meeting or any majlis. It has an animated opening, music, RSVP, Waze and Google Maps, a countdown, a guestbook and more, on one page that loads fast on any phone.
Do guests need to install an app?
No. Guests tap the link and the card opens in their phone's browser. RSVP, wishes and maps work without an app or an account.
Can I send the card with each guest's name?
Yes, you choose per guest: a personal link for VVIPs with their name on the card and the RSVP pre-filled, or one general link for WhatsApp groups. eKad also writes the WhatsApp message for you, with titles like Dato' and Datin.
How do guests give salam kaut?
Guests scan your own DuitNow or Touch 'n Go QR, or copy your bank account number in one tap. The money goes straight to you; eKad never holds guests' money.
What happens when my card link expires?
You can download your Kad Kenangan: the whole card in one HTML file with your photos, programme and guests' wishes, which opens without internet at any time, like a printed card in a keepsake box.
Can the card be in Malay, English, Chinese or Jawi?
Yes. A card can be shown in BM, English, 中文 and Jawi, and you can pick a style from classic embossed cards to modern, anime and Jawi calligraphy.
Can eKad help on the wedding day itself?
Yes. Day-of mode gives QR check-in at the hall door, a live attendance board and a table finder for guests, using only phone cameras.
Is eKad only for weddings?
