- Set your budget and an estimate of guest numbers.
- Choose the date and book the hall or venue.
- Attend the pre-marriage course (for Muslim couples) and keep the certificate.

9 to 6 months before
- Complete the required health screening and check the marriage application requirements with your district religious office.
- Book the pelamin (dais), decoration and kompang team.
- Choose your colour theme and start on the wedding outfits.
6 to 3 months before
- Submit the marriage application and the documents requested.
- Finish the full guest list by group: family, office, friends.
- Choose your card template and prepare the wording.
- Order door gifts and prepare the hantaran (gift trays).
3 to 1 month before
- Send invitations: personal links for VVIPs, a general link for groups.
- Confirm the menu and number of plates with the caterer based on RSVPs.
- Try on outfits and make-up.
- Finalise the programme and share it with every supplier.
2 weeks to 1 day before
- Remind guests who have not replied.
- Finalise the table plan and the registration desk helpers.
- Prepare the salam kaut envelope box or QR and the guestbook.
- Get enough rest!
On the day
- Helpers scan guests' QR codes at the door and watch the attendance board.
- One family member keeps the programme on time.
- Afterwards, keep your photos, wishes and Kad Kenangan.
